CAMEROON
ThinkOcean Cameroon was founded in 2019 with just eight students under the leadership of Forbi Perise as the national coordinator and has since grown to over 50+ youngsters. The network's goal is to mobilise and engage Cameroonian youth in the long-term management of our streams, rivers, ocean, and wetlands so that our ocean and wetlands ecosystems can thrive. Wetlands are among the world's most productive ecosystems, as well as the home to delicate ecosystems, extensive bionetworks, diverse inhabitants, and their habitats. Our objective is for wetlands to be revered and protected for their beauty, the life they support, and the resources they provide. We live by the motto "Thinkforward, ThinkAction, ThinkOcean," which adequately captures our mission of preserving, protecting, and restoring the marine ecosystem in order to achieve long-term sustainability.
