The Executive Director will lead ThinkOcean with a vision for marine conservation and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. Significant experience in leadership, strategic planning, and ocean conservation is required. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and adept at building relationships both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Leadership (30%): Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve ThinkOcean’s mission and goals. Provide visionary leadership to ensure long-term sustainability and growth of the organization.
Team Management (25%): Oversee and support regional teams, providing guidance and ensuring team cohesion. Monitor the progress of regional teams and provide regular feedback and support.
Fundraising and Partnership Development (20%): Secure funding through grants, donations, and partnerships. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, donors, and partners to support the organization's initiatives.
Public Representation (10%): Represent ThinkOcean at events, conferences, and in the media. Act as the spokesperson for the organization, promoting its mission and activities.
Support and Monitoring of Regional Teams (10%): Provide continuous support to regional teams, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed. Host regular check-ins to monitor progress and address any challenges.
Board Liaison (5%): Serve as the primary liaison between the board of directors and the organization. Prepare and present reports to the board, ensuring they are informed of the organization's activities and progress.
Requirements:Experience: At least 1-2 years of leadership experience in a non-profit organization, preferably in ocean conservation or a related environmental field.
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting diverse teams, with strong skills in team building and conflict resolution.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent the organization to various stakeholders and the public.
Relationship Building: Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, board members, and the community.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Passion for Marine Conservation: A deep commitment to ThinkOcean’s mission and values, with a passion for marine conservation and environmental advocacy.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs.
Technological Proficiency: Proficiency in using technology for communication, project management, and data analysis. Experience with relevant software and tools is a plus.

We are looking for a Global Chapter Network Director to help manage our growing chapter network and global projects.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate international council (30%): Work alongside the Executive Director to plan and host monthly international council calls with national coordinators.
Global collaboration (30%): Maintain close contact with other national coordinators and team members to assist in planning international campaigns.
Chapter strategy (40%): Coordinate with national coordinators and expansion officers to reassess chapter management, iterating on ThinkOcean’s structure

The Director of Communications and Creative Solutions will manage and create content for our social media, website, and projects. They will develop and implement strategies to increase engagement and followers. This role requires monitoring and reporting on social media metrics and trends, along with a creative mindset and strong writing and editing skills. An interest in marine literacy and digital marketing is essential.
Responsibilities:
Manage and create content for social media platforms (30%)
Develop and implement social media strategies (20%)
Create ad-hoc graphics and new logos to support events and initiatives (20%)

We are seeking a Finance Director who is passionate about marine conservation and eager to help secure funding for our initiatives. No prior experience in grant writing or ocean conservation is necessary, but strong writing skills and attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Research potential grant opportunities (30%): Identify and evaluate potential funding sources.
Write and submit grant proposals (50%): Draft compelling proposals to secure funding.
Track grant applications and reports (20%): Maintain records of submissions and manage deadlines for progress reports.

We are looking for National Coordinators to help manage our growing chapter network and national projects.

The Director of Virtual Events will collaborate with another director to plan, execute, and manage online events that promote marine literacy and conservation. This role requires creativity, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the ocean. You will work closely with our team to deliver engaging and educational virtual experiences.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Coordination (40%): Develop and organize virtual events, including webinars, workshops, and panels.
Collaboration (30%): Work with the co-director and other team members to ensure smooth execution of events.
Marketing and Promotion (20%): Create and distribute promotional materials to increase event participation.
Feedback and Improvement (10%): Collect feedback from participants and use it to improve future events.

The Director of Partnerships is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external organizations and stakeholders to advance our mission. This role involves identifying and securing partnership opportunities and coordinating with internal teams to leverage these partnerships for mutual benefit. An ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills and a passion for ocean conservation and sustainability.

As a Programs Officer, you will oversee the implementation of various ocean conservation programs. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve our conservation goals.

Program Development (35%): Design and plan new conservation programs.
Implementation and Coordination (35%): Manage and coordinate ongoing programs.
Stakeholder Engagement (20%): Work with partners, volunteers, and community members to ensure program success.

Reports to the President, ED you will oversee the implementation of various ocean conservation programs. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve our conservation goals.

The Education Officer will be responsible for creating and delivering educational content related to ocean conservation. This role involves developing curricula, organizing educational campaigns, and engaging with schools and communities to spread marine literacy.
