The Asia Chapters Coordinator is a senior regional role responsible for expanding and strengthening ThinkOcean’s presence across Asia. This role will lead chapter development, coordination, and growth across communities, colleges, universities, and youth groups, while acting as a key bridge between regional chapters and the global organisation. The ideal candidate will be based in Asia and have a strong understanding of regional contexts and networks.
ThinkOcean currently has active chapters in Hong Kong and India, and this role will play a central part in scaling the network across the region.
Weekly Hours: 10 hours
Additional Support: A technology stipend will be provided if required.Responsibilities:
Lead the expansion of ThinkOcean chapters across Asia (30%)
Coordinate and support existing and emerging chapters in the region (20%)
Develop chapter models across communities, educational institutions, and youth groups (15%)
Act as the primary liaison between Asia chapters and global leadership (15%)
Support onboarding, capacity-building, and reporting for chapters (10%)
Identify strategic partnerships and opportunities for regional growth (10%)

The Director of Communications and Creative Solutions will manage and create content for our social media, website, and projects. They will develop and implement strategies to increase engagement and followers. This role requires monitoring and reporting on social media metrics and trends, along with a creative mindset and strong writing and editing skills. An interest in marine literacy and digital marketing is essential.
Weekly hours: 10 hours
Responsibilities:
Manage and create content for social media platforms (30%)
Develop and implement social media strategies (20%)
Create ad-hoc graphics and new logos to support events and initiatives (20%)
Monitor and report on social media metrics (10%)
Engage with the online community and respond to inquiries (10%)

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of ThinkOcean’s social media platforms, ensuring consistent, engaging, and mission-aligned content. This role focuses on execution, scheduling, audience engagement, and supporting campaigns led by the communications team. An interest in ocean conservation, storytelling, and digital trends is essential.
Weekly Hours: 5–7 hours
Responsibilities:
Schedule and publish content across social media platforms - Instagram and LinkedIn (30%)
Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages (20%)
Support campaigns, announcements, and events through social media (15%)
Track basic performance metrics and engagement trends (15%)
Coordinate with the Communications Director on content planning (10%)
Stay updated on platform trends and best practices (10%)

The Director of Virtual Events will collaborate with another director to plan, execute, and manage online events that promote marine literacy and conservation. This role requires creativity, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the ocean. You will work closely with our team to deliver engaging and educational virtual experiences.
Weekly Hours: 6–8 hours
Responsibilities:
Lead planning and execution of virtual events and series (30%)
Identify themes, formats, and potential speakers or partners (20%)
Oversee event timelines, agendas, and coordination (20%)
Work with communications and social media teams on event promotion (15%)
Ensure smooth delivery of events and post-event follow-ups (10%)
Review event outcomes and suggest improvements (5%)

The Virtual Events Officer will support the delivery of ThinkOcean’s virtual events, focusing on logistics, coordination, and technical execution. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys behind-the-scenes work and live event support.
Weekly Hours: 4–6 hours
Responsibilities:
Support logistical planning and scheduling of virtual events (25%)
Manage registrations, reminders, and attendee communication (20%)
Provide live technical support during events (20%)
Coordinate with speakers and moderators before events (15%)
Assist with post-event feedback, recordings, and documentation (10%)
Support the Virtual Events Director as needed (10%)

The People Lead will support ThinkOcean’s internal culture, onboarding, and team wellbeing. This role focuses on people management, coordination, and ensuring volunteers feel supported, valued, and connected across regions.
Weekly Hours: 4–6 hours
Responsibilities:
Coordinate recruitment processes, including shortlisting and interviews (25%)
Support onboarding and orientation of new team members (20%)
Act as a point of contact for team wellbeing and internal coordination (15%)
Maintain internal records, documentation, and role tracking (15%)
Support performance check-ins and feedback processes (15%)
Foster an inclusive, supportive, and respectful team culture (10%)

The Website Manager will oversee the maintenance, updates, and functionality of ThinkOcean’s website. This role ensures content remains current, accessible, and aligned with organisational priorities, while supporting campaigns, recruitment, and storytelling.
Weekly Hours: 4–6 hours
Responsibilities:
Update and maintain website content and pages (30%)
Coordinate with communications and programmes teams on content needs (20%)
Ensure website usability, accessibility, and basic SEO practices (20%)
Upload blogs, announcements, job postings, and resources (15%)
Troubleshoot minor website issues or coordinate fixes (10%)
Periodically review website structure and improvements (5%)
We presently use Squarespace and will train the ideal candidate to suit the role if necessary.

The Education Officer will be responsible for creating and delivering educational content related to ocean conservation. This role involves developing curricula, organizing educational campaigns, and engaging with schools and communities to spread marine literacy.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development (40%): Create educational materials and programs for various age groups.
Outreach and Engagement (30%): Coordinate with schools and community groups to implement educational initiatives.
Content Creation (20%): Develop and distribute educational resources, such as articles, videos, and infographics.
Evaluation and Reporting (10%): Monitor and report on the impact of educational programs.
