NIDHI MENON— HONG KONG COORDINATORThe University of Hong Kong C’23hongkong@thinkoceanglobal.orgIf you know Nidhi, you will know that her love for oceans is the biggest part of her life. Having decided at the age of 11 that Marine Biology is her calling, she now goes to year 3 at the University of Hong Kong, majoring in Ecology and Biodiversity with a minor in Marine Biology. Her dream is to make a significant difference to the state of the world’s oceans and to ensure that its beautiful inhabitants continue to thrive. Working as a research assistant on an oyster biodiversity survey of Hong Kong conducted by the Swire Institute of Marine Science in partnership with The Nature Conservancy has taught her a lot about marine animals specific to Hong Kong and the threats they face. Through ThinkOcean, she hopes to find a change-making force in youth who love the oceans as much as she does. She eagerly looks forward to this new and exciting journey as the Hong Kong Coordinator for ThinkOcean, and hopes to combine her inherent passion with her acquired knowledge and skills to organise some hard-hitting and impactful projects in the months ahead.
