Oumayma was born in Nabeul, Tunisia. A twenty-two-year-old student in fisheries and environmental engineering, at the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia.
She is an active member of the IEEE, the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity and working towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals agenda. She has obtained numerous internationally recognized certificates from the IEEE for her dedication and professional commitment.
As Nabeul, her hometown is a coastal town, she has always been passionate about the marine environment and sea creatures.
She has seen how pollution has an impact on her community and her beloved sea, so she focuses her work with ThinkOcean to help protect the environment and raise awareness of common environmental threats such as climate change and microplastic pollution of the sea.
She firmly believes that together we can change minds and therefore the world, and that we can save the helpless creatures threatened by the ocean.
In her spare time, Oumayma loves camping in the wilderness and reading books.
