ULISSE SAVERIO BASSI — MANTOVA REGIONAL COORDINATOR
University of Trento C’21
Ulisse Saverio Bassi was born in the province of Mantova, in Lombardy. Born in Italy with Austrian heritage, he doesn’t considers himself Italian or Austrian. Rather, he sees himself as European. Since the age of five, he has been interested in government with participation as a Boy Scout heightening this interest. His motto is “I want to leave this world a little better than how I’ve found it”.
Last September he repurposed some old plastic boxes by turning them into gardens, planting tomatoes and basil. He loves to make self-grown and self-cooked Italian dinners and has since decided to enlarge his garden. Nowadays, on his balcony, a strawberry field is growing with kiwis, salad, and potatoes. He sees growing a little farm on the balcony as is an interesting solution to pollution. It is a way to prevent the use of plastics, it’s a way to produce oxygen, and it’s also a good way to relax.
